Vacancy Rates at Record Low Levels

Australia is facing an acute shortage of rental properties, with the rental vacancy rate nationally dipping to 1.3 per cent in January 2022 – a 16-year low according to SQM Research.

 

The shortage of available rental properties has seen rents rise sharply across the country and SQM Research believes rents could rise by over 10% in 2022.
