The hotel sector in Sydney continues to recover, with occupancy levels back above pre-pandemic levels.
According to analytics group STR, Sydney’s hotel occupancy averaged 71.8 per cent in September, the highest since the coronavirus was gaining momentum in February 2020.
At the same time, revenue per available room hit $181.05. The average daily rate was $252.13 a room, the highest since February 2018.
The highest occupancy levels were registered in late September at 89.4 per cent, lifted by the AFL preliminary final.
